Partners

The WORM consortium is coordinated by Hanken University in Helsinki (Finland) and is made up of 16 partners spread across 11 countries, each bringing unique expertise in waste management challenges in the humanitarian sector.

Following a multi-actor approach, WORM brings together medical humanitarian organisations and humanitarian organisations with livelihood programmes with innovation and supplier clusters, procurement service providers, logistics service providers, waste management service providers and academic partners.

SVENSKA HANDELSHOGSKOLAN

The Hanken School of Economics is a leading, internationally accredited university in education and research in economics and business administration. WORM is part of the activities of the HUMLOG Institute (Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institute), a joint research institute of Hanken and the National Defence University in Finland.

Solvoz

Solvoz operates an open-access digital platform that facilitates efficient and sustainable sourcing, procurement and tendering for better spending of budgets, time, & environmental impacts. It is also an open-access expert knowledge database for the aid sector. It connects aid and health sectors to local and global businesses.

Finnish Red Cross

SUOMEN PUNAINEN RISTI

The Finnish Red Cross is the most prominent Finnish non-governmental organisation offering humanitarian aid both domestically and internationally and one of the key Finnish organisations carrying out development cooperation. Our aid is always neutral, impartial and independent. We are a member of the international Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.

CONG TY TNHH DAI HOC

Innovation Norway is the Norwegian Government’s instrument for innovation and development of Norwegian enterprises and industry. The Environmental Sustainability in Humanitarian Logistics project aims to reduce and manage the harmful consequences of humanitarian logistics and supply chain induced waste and pollution in a focused and sustained manner over an initial period of two years, starting from February 2021.
