The WORM consortium is coordinated by Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki (Finland) and is made up of 16 partners spread across 11 countries, each bringing unique expertise in waste management challenges in the humanitarian sector.
Following a multi-actor approach, WORM brings together medical humanitarian organisations and humanitarian organisations with livelihood programmes with innovation and supplier clusters, procurement service providers, logistics service providers, waste management service providers and academic partners.

The Hanken School of Economics is a leading, internationally accredited university in education and research in economics and business administration. WORM is part of the activities of the HUMLOG Institute (Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institute), a joint research institute of Hanken and the National Defence University in Finland.
