On 16 September 2025, WORM partner Pamela Steele Associates, hosted a virtual workshop dedicated to the dangers of incinerating mixed medical waste. This online event focused on the significant health and environmental risks associated with incineration while exploring safer and more sustainable alternatives for waste treatment.
Building on the awareness campaign carried out in Kisumu, Kenya, the workshop brought together experts, practitioners, and stakeholders from across the health, environment, and humanitarian fields to strengthen dialogue and collaboration around responsible medical waste management.
