WORM at the Health and Humanitarian Logistics Conference

The Health and Humanitarian Logistics Conference on Strengthening Health and Humanitarian Supply Chains in a Digital Age, was held in Nairobi from 19 to 21 February 2025. It brought together humanitarian supply chain leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the future of emergency logistics.

Hosted by the Humanitarian Logistics Association, this event marked a significant milestone in building a more robust, transparent, and adaptive health supply chain.

WORM was invited to showcase key findings on environmental sustainability and waste management in humanitarian operations. This exchange highlighted the importance of a strong collaboration between public, private, and humanitarian sectors to build a more resilient humanitarian logistics!

Key discussions emphasised the transition toward local manufacturing, which would improve end-to-end supply chain visibility while reducing dependency on external suppliers. Another key aspect was the growing role of emerging technologies in humanitarian logistics. Innovations such as drones, AI-driven logistics and the Internet of roduction were presented as key tools for delivering aid to remote and conflict-affected areas. Discussions also highlighted the importance of circular economy solutions and the need for sustainable humanitarian relief materials.
