Workshop – Waste Management adopted by EMTs and Field Hospitals during emergency reponses

WORM Workshop #4 – Waste Management adopted by Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) and Field Hospitals in emergency responses

Description

WORM aims to address waste management challenges and promote sustainability in the humanitarian sector, particularly in two settings: field hospital deployments and humanitarian livelihood programmes with a waste-picking component. To achieve this, the consortium will develop a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for waste management.

The objective of this workshop is to collect key SOPs and relevant waste management practices (use, reuse, maintenance and repair, repurposing, recycling, refurbishment, reverse logistics, and handover) adopted by EMTs/Field Hospitals in any emergency response.

In advance of the workshop, please complete our survey to help us gather information about your knowledge and evidence of current waste management practices.

If you would like to attend the workshop, simply say so in the survey and we’ll send you the invitation.
